HarborArts X La Linterna
Established in 1934, La Linterna is a world-renown letterpress print workshop based in Cali, Colombia. Dedicated to artisan printing of posters using linoleum engraving and the use of movable types, La Linterna hosts artists from across Latin America and the globe for residencies at the shop in Cali.
La Linterna is one of the few print shops in the world that are still utilizing letterpress machinery built during the industrial revolution era. The printmakers cut the vinyl templates by hand before inserting them into the presses, dating back to 1870 and 1890. This age-old process provides unique imperfections in each individual print, resulting in a uniquely rich, hand-made quality. This is what makes the prints from La Linterna so special and collectable.
For a limited time, we will be offering the HarborArts collection of prints from La Linterna from our pop-up at our dear friend’s shop in East Boston,
EBO & Co Grocery.
